Vans Warped Tour

Vans Warped Tour

So I went to the vans warped tour in atlanta yesterday to check out some bands.

I had a really good time had fun in the pits and everything.

But the experience I had their just gave me more inspiration to go back home and practice.

Do any of you guys do that like listen to different genre’s of what you are used to playing, to give you inspiration.

it sure did help me especially family force 5 them dudes is amazing if you haven’t heard of them you should really check them out.

doesnt the say go like this…variety is the spice of life. regardless, all good music makes me want to start up a session.

I think its important to listen to different genres they really all have something different to offer that might help you increase your game in your own genre.

yea i feel ya i am really thinking about adding in some matisyahu in my chill out sets

i just love music in general lol

Can’t go wrong with that! (Same here)

who in here likes metal music…i love it i just hate that people wouldn’t think i listen to it cause i am black but thats another topic lol.

I used to really be into extreme metal (Emperor, Nile, Morbid Angel) but have kind of fallen out of it. My co-workers are shocked I DJ this heavy industrial shit.

hahaha everyone is shocked that i listen to metal (killswitch engage, Job for a cowboy, Greeley Estates latest album) and i am a hip hop dj lol.

So whats this heavy industrial music, i have never heard any i don’t think.

It’s not the most accessible stuff. If you’re really into hip-hop check out SMP and Stromkern, some of my favorites.

Mainly my tastes range toward: Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, 16Volt, Praga Khan, Ego Likeness, Terrorfakt, This Morn Omina, Chemlab, Cyanotic, Rabbit Junk…

I listen to weird shit. Wait til you hear what I throw on the mix for this thing. If I get left off where I want it’s gonna be fuckin weird… heh

w00h! Praga Kahn still in business?

Damn… Used to be into Cannibal Corpse, Anthrax, Deicide, Slayer, Mötörhead and much more… Thought I was one of the view here.

Cool to hear I was wrong!

mmmm… Deicide and Cannibal Corpse… PIT OF ZOMBIES!

I love Praga Khan. I spin them every chance I get to fit it in to my set, but the elitist, pretentious… scene people that I spin for never care for.

Besides, I’m an industrial DJ and I listen to folk, jazz and classical. Closed minded people suck

IDD, non cubism sucks too.
