I’ve been going with Zac’s over Ean’s for a year as well… Backup your program files\NI folder as well as the docs\NI folder and try to reinstall the older version of TP. Worse case you can revert back, but you shouldn’t have to as long as you save the tsi file and music collection.nml file, or whatever its called…
I’m trying to use Zac’s TSI on TP1.2 and Mode1 LED stays on, even though it is disabled in Mode2 when I enable beatjump. None of the Hotcues work in any mode it seems. Advanced effects seem to work but since TP1.2 has 4 effects banks, 3 and 4 have to be enabled in Traktor manually. Lastly, the browser navigation is inop when using Zac’s 2DeckV4 TSI file in TP1.2 as well.
Now I know this file is no longer supported since you have joined the ranks of the FWv1.3 users, so I’m going to give you 2 choices. Fix this damn TSI and I will compensate you monetarily, or upgrade my controller to v1.3 so I can use your file!
Take it as a compliment that you made one legendary file Zac… I’m waiting for the store to get some more FW upgrade kits in stock, then I’ll get your updated file from ya and I wont have to worry about the bugs of FWv1.2
I’m having issues with TP1.2 anyways. Eans TSI v2.4 isn’t working AT ALL in TP1.2. I mean, not a single command is being executed properly from the controller. I even rebooted the controller and still nothing. I was prepaired to drop the dough on a new controller from the store with FWv1.3 but if I can’t get it to work on FWv1.2 then whats the point…
Hey guys, I hate to tell you this, but I think critical mass has been reached with this file. Because of the number of responses, I started my VCI in FW1.2 mode, and tried the tsi out with TPro 1.2. It’s definitely all screwed up. A complete overhaul would take a shitload of time, more than I have. My suggestion (sadly) would be to roll back to the last version of TPro that the file works with (you guys would have to tell me, I have no clue), and hit me up later when you upgrade your VCI’s. I’ve got a bangin 4 deck map for FW 1.3, but since I upgraded, that’s the platform on which I’ve been developing everything. Again, I apologize - technology never stops marching on.
But definitely get FW1.3 when you can. The new map has independent control of A/B/C/D, instant loop dropping on multiple decks simultaneously, full led feedback for every function, and of course you get the benefits of TPro 1.2, which has a ton of improvements.
Also, for those of you wondering, I think the same thing is happening with Ean’s files - there’s just too many things that are dependent on the firmware, so the file doesn’t act right. Don’t worry that things don’t work right with FW1.2, they will with 1.3. Alternately, you can always get under the hood and start fresh, but it’s definitely work!
hey zac. are you also using bome? i am pondering to route my vci through bome to turn it into four virtual controller with the same midi messages. this way i could leverage the device target feature in tp 1.2.
I’m not. I’ve managed to achieve the same outcome using modifiers and the “send monitor state” command, through careful programming. My current map is exactly that, 4 independent decks each with full functionality, updating leds on the vci as they are selected.
I’d like to have BomeMT though, for separating midi while in fader fx mode from the regular channel controls, when I’m routed into Live - which is how my rig is set up nowadays. Right now, I can’t get full fader fx functionality without interfering with the channel volumes mapped in Live. (Although if they ever enable TPro’s faders in external mode, I’m set, even without BomeMT)
Sorry guys, I haven’t kept track of this thread well enough. Lost track of who wanted this file (assuming you have 1.2 firmware and Traktor Pro versions 1.1.x and earlier). Scratchmaster2?, Serial? NoiSe, did I get that file to you?
