my vci-100 has been having a problem with the pitch control in traktor le. the pitch and bpm skip instead of progressing in increments of 1. the pitch is adjusting like 1.2, 1.4, 1.7, 2.1, 2.4, 2.6 and the bpm is adjusting 124.4, 124.6, 124.8, 125, 125.3, 125.5 and so on no matter how slightly i move the pitch control. i changed the “analyze bpm range” and am wondering if thats my problem or if something else is going on. im not seeing a pitch range setting i could have adjusted and tried reinstalling traktor to no avail. please help.
The problem is that the VCI-100 transmits MIDI data between 0 and 127. This does not translate evenly into 8% or 4% (or any other setting). The only way around it, really, is to assign a button (or key on your keyboard) to do a fine pitch move so you move the pitch fader to close to where it needs to be and, if it doesn’t line up, then use the button to perfect the mix.
im unsure of where to change that setting. there seems to be very few adjustments that can be made in the preferences section. is there another location adjustments can be made?
the only thing i have in deck preferences is loading, transport, and sound & mixer. there isnt a pitch section in the transport section though, just cache.
i remember making a change after i registered the software but my onboard sound died so it took me a couple weeks to get another soundcard and i forgot i made the change so i reinstalled traktor and now cant find the settings folder insider the traktor folder which is why im thinking i cant find the pitch section. what youre telling me makes complete sense and i do believe youre correct. now i need to figure out how to recover the settings folder.
