VCI-100SE FW1.4: Play on button release?

Hey team, I’m getting settled in with my 1.4FW upgraded VCI, and I’m finding that accuracy is an issue. When I hit play, it never seems to be right on the beat. I can’t tell if it’s latency or my own inaccuracy. I thought I’d try and remedy the issue by setting the play button to play on release.

Are there any benefits to doing this? Is it even possible to do this?

It’s possible, but there’s certainly no benefit. Try lowering your latency as you said, and also make sure you have quantise and sync turned on if you want to release precisely on the beat.
