VCI-300 Sound on PC
Hello everyone!
A newbish question here. Is it possible to have sound output from vci-300 on pc and how?
can you elaborate?
I don’t have any other speakers/boxes beside normal pc speakers here. When I connect my vci-300 to pc it seems to send output to the build-in soundcard but not to pc speakers.
are you using a laptop or a desktop?
Tried on both. The desktop/laptop sound is being blocked.
The “pc/thru on” switch is on “pc”.
The answer depends really on what software you are using.
If Itch, no..audio of Itch runs only via the 300 sound card (SUCKS!)
If on Traktor, it is for sure possible. Just run the audio outs of Traktor/ASIO to your PC/Mac sound card.
Well, I got both, Itch and Traktor pro, would realy like to get it working on Itch tho.
Well, what about Traktor, are there any decent mappings out there?
There is no hope for Itch and getting audio internally. They lock it down in the audio drivers and same for SL1.
I see. What about mappings? Any decent ones out there? Checked your topic, the link isnt working.
Check the mapping forum. There are a bunch of VCI-300 mappings there
Checked it already but they seem not to cover all functions of Traktor Pro. ![]()
It is almost impossible to make a mapping on the VCI-300 that will cover all of the functions of Traktor Pro. You’d need two or three controllers set to your specific work flow to be able to reach that.
If you could do it with one you’d need a lot of time, and it would almost definitely need to be unique to you.
And, at that, do you really need instant access to all of the functions of TPro on your VCI-300? You can use your keyboard too
True. But I would realy love to have atleast the functions Itch have working on traktor pro, since I only can use pc speakers as sound output at my brothers place.
Just tested some mappings from forums, jog wheels doesnt seem to work well on Traktor Pro.
Just go to radio shack and get a connector to connect your PC speaker plug to stereo phono.
do you have the mini.translator?
I do.
I am trying to make my own mappings atm, but led seem not to work, or I just doing something wrong.
Ye the connector is a good idea, that is what I thought at first. Going to buy one tomorrow.
Thanks for your help. :]
Well im sure that you can find a mapping here that will cover the same function as Itch.
You can also configure a mapping from here to your own preferences.
Like said be4, you need mini.translator for the jogs and pitch in t-pro.
Got it working now. Thanks all for help!
