i currently i am mapping a normal VCI 400, and i am trying to copy the Ean golden edition - with some extra handy features though.
Why? Because importing the vci 400 EGE would cost a lot extra duo to taxes. Also Because the upgrade kit Still isn’t available
i am going to post a Beta version of my mapping. But first i need to finish following:
The Jog Fx (you can help me, by posting effects you think is very good)
The Slicer mode section
Also, is it okay to post the mapping? Because I think Djtechtools deserves money for the idea.

Differences between EGE and this mapping:
No sample/remix part.
HOTCUE section is removed and switched with loop section (I use HOTCURE on a X1, but I might just upload a map with hotcue on)
Improved Key controls. Now with “reset key” and on/off auto key.
Done, and fully working:
The beatslicer section
The effect section (what is it called? With beatmasher gater and all that, from the midi fighter)
The ability to switch between each section in the peformerence grid.
Oh and also, what would be good for jog fx?
currently 3 modes are working:
Group effect: Beatmasher, gater, peak filter
Group effect: FLN-F, peak filter, reverb.
Single effect: freeze effect

Does annyone know why the slicer mode isn’t working?
i have tried in this way:
Mapping the “mode” selector to set a cue point.
The 8 buttons set as cue points, but also as Beatjump (with different values)
my problems is, that this caus the track to stop playing..
First of all I’m nod 100% sure how this EG Slicer mode is working and I hope this is logical explanation.
Track stop playing if you set CUE to any of eight buttons grid together with beatjump, I believe CUE command need to be set to button dedicated to this slicer mode so when you press That button to enter mode you directly set cue marker also. When you add this CUE be sure to set it as DIRECT with value of 1.
I just tried to overcome this somehow and actually managed it to jump back to cue on release of the button. Only thing is, it work fine when jumping for beat or more but when jumping 1/2 or less it jump back also but goes out of sync. I’ll try to fix this as possible but for now you can add this settings next to beatjump to all eight buttons in performance grid.
Add in: Jump to next/Prev Cue/loop
-set as INC and check INVERT box.
-retype it as DIRECT and set value to previous.
You are right about jumping back to hotcue. I’m checking EGE mapping right now and it clearly says that it’s used “Jump to active Cue point (quantized)” command to set this temporary cue (not sure in using standard cue for this trick) but can’t really find this specific command to add in from TP 2.5 maybe it is renamed, lose or some other sh*t.
Ofc, you can’t replicate slicer mod to act the same as EGE VCI 400. When I look this mapping it make me think that this slicer mode is sending multiple beatjumps from single press of the pad. Anybody can confirm it?
I guess we can do some kind of simulation with method I mention before but that mean sacrifice of one hotcue.
I’d be willing to work on this as well. I have tried remapping the EGE mapping to my Vci but have had no real success. Could you send me what you have so far and I can try and integrate what i have done?
Slicer mode wont work without either having it’s logic burnt into a firmware or a layer of midi functionality provided by a third party software. You can’t only use a mapping to create the slicer, search the site for " string theory" to understand the way the slicer works.
