I just installed Traktor Pro.. and i want to connect a Vestax VCI 100 MKII.. (i have windows xp)…
So.. when i connect it.. and run traktor pro.. i go to “Audio Setup > Audio Device” and i have three options:
a) ASIO VCI 100 MKII Driver (not connected) for one reason.. traktor doesnt dettect this option.. (i installed the ASIO drivers.. also if i choose the next option.. i can play.. but with rare noises)
b) VCI 100 MKII DJ CONTROLLER (i guess this options is for MACS.. i can use the controller with that but i have some rare noises while playing)
c) Realtek Audio output (sounds from the pc)
…
The manual says that Windows users have to use option “a” … but i always have this “not connected” issue.. also.. as soon as i plug the controller.. sometimes my pc recognices the device..and i have an icon on my taskbar.. sometimes not…
I downloaded ASIO4all 2.10 driver and nothing happens.
When i choose the ASIO4all driver on traktor… the sounds comes out from my laptop.. and also is a bad sound… with scratches or something like that… Do i need to configure it? am i making something wrong?
the sound driver on my laptop is realtek,.. (is it important?)
Hey man,
I also use the VCI100mk2 and XP pro.
The Asio4all driver, same one as you, and works fine. I did NOT, however, use the one provided from vestax, I downloaded a seperate version, as the vestax one did not work.
Email me and I can send you the one I use. (ashley@bugler.co.za)
And adjust your latency to get the best sound. The best way to do this is too turn on all the FX and really tax the system. Lower the latency until you get pops and crackles then rais it until you get good sound.
