Here’s a quick video I recorded earlier today of a somewhat-complete song file I have on my Maschine, I am triggering patterns and instruments. These things are great for drafting ideas quickly, as well as performing live or semi-live.
No not really, I used some of the included samples but a lot of it is my own creation. I like to lay out a bunch of patterns and then keep the pattern button on lock, allowing for easy switching between them to keep the tracks dynamic, so I don’t really have a set to follow strictly.
Have you found a way to quantize the pattern changes like scene changes can be? It looks like that’s not really possible. Also not a huge deal, you just have to have not-suck timing, but I was curious.
Nope I don’t believe there is a way to quantize those, my pattern changes are all instant for this, but I keep several template scenes ready (builds, intros, breakdowns)
Thanks, I might be able to make some stems with it, we’ll see. The light is an American DJ Quad Gem DMX light, they come in sets of 4, I just have one. Pretty handy for some ambient or party lighting.
