Vinyl Mode on VCI100

Vinyl Mode on VCI100

Could anyone tell me the optimum settings in the midi map to give real time feel in vinyl mode. ie when i release the platter there is a slight delay before the track plays. I would like to make that more instant, any help would be most appreciated.

ill take a look at my settings, are u using Traktor 3 or T-Pro?

Im interested at yours tsi, JesC

Its really basic, the only thing that I add was the fx trigger button next to play/cue and I use it as a brakestop/beatmasher.

I gotta figure out a way to map the vci-100 with traktor pro. Im still not feeling confortable there.

i’m using Tpro 1.1. it’s really the short delayfrom the track playing on releasing the platter that im trying to get rid of it makes cueing tracks on the fly impossible.

Slackman, is it sync’d when you’re releasing the platter?

i’m not sure why does that make a difference?

if the sync is on its gonna try to match the tracks based on the beatgrid.

Change your tsi. This one worked for me and got rid of the lag.

I too am curious about this. Just got a Black VCI-100 and as soon as I lift my fingers off the platter, it doesn’t play the track instantly, like it drags for a millisecond. Tried the TSI file above, and it might have made it a little better. My VCI-300 plays instantly in this situation, like it’s a super High Torque turntable. As opposed to the VCI-100 currently like a Belt Drive. I’m sure theres gotta be a better TSI file or something like on/off for platter. I don’t know, I’m just getting the hang of Traktor.

If Sync is on then it is going to force the beat grids to line up. So, if you let the platter go half a beat early (or a quarter beat late) Traktor is going to hold it until the grids line up. You’re betting off scratching with Sync off anyways. You can do some interesting codes in Bomes to have it turn Sync off and then back on only if Sync was on to begin with.
