Vinyl Newbie looking for help with my setup.

Hi, I’m new here. I came here seeking help with my set up. I’ve been a casual DJ for years, using MIDI controllers and CDJ’s but I’ve recently acquired some Technics SL-1200MK2’s and a Traktor Audio 6 with Traktor skratch pro and was looking for a new way to mix but I’m having some major issues getting it set up.

So far my main problem is that my left deck wont calibrate no matter what I seem to do and its set up just like my right deck.

My second problem is that my AKAI AMX isn’t controlling anything in my software, even after downloading this mapping for it v

Does my AKAI AMX need drivers? If so I can’t find any for a mac computer.

Any tips or solutions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I got this gear for a really good deal and dont have much more spending money, so I’m hoping to get this working without any additional gear.

The AMX is a soundcard/controller for Serato. Im not even sure it works properly with Traktor.

Are you running Traktor through the AMX or the Audio6?

I am assuming he is using the Audio6 as the DVS unit for Traktor and the AMX as a mixing interface.

Have you ran the ground wire for the turntables to the Audio6 and verified it is running on phono?

I can see on the photo his ground wire from the left deck is laying on the table and on the second photo Traktor has a clear warning message about ground hum..just saying…

What’s even more puzzling is the headphone jack (and RCA cables???) plugged into the AMX when there should be nothing but a USB cable in this situation (Traktor in internal mixing mode, Audio6 is the audio interface and AMX is just a midi mixer).
