Virtual DJ Headphone Connection
Hi Guys,
Pretty much I’m mucking around on Virtual DJ 5.0 and I’m having trouble connecting my headphones so that I can premix in songs by listening to it through the headphones.
I don’t have an external soundcard, however my soundcard in my computer has 6 inputs for 4.1 surround sound.
Inputted I have a set of logitech 4.1 speakers.
According to the VDJ forums/website you can make it so the master mix comes out of the front front speakers, and the premix can be heard from the headphones plugged into the rear speaker input.
I have soundMAX control panel running.. which is slightly confusing.
I can’t get it to work and thus I need help asap. (The best I can get is the premix to come out of the speakers and not the headphones!)
Cheers do0dz
In VDJ, check under the options tab->soundcard
input: none
output: Headphone, front-output master, rear-output Headphones
Soundcard: 4.1 Soundcard
This should do the job. Btw, 5.0 is not the actual version and therefore isnt as stable and has more bugs than 6.0. You may considerer upgrading your version.
yeah i’ve done all that.. it’s weird.
Yeah I think this is a ‘free’ version
I’m just screwing around with it and making a mix for my friends birthday.
I’ll have to wait a few more pay checks until i can get my vci100 + traktor
Well than, if its a “free” version as you say. It will not work. In Case you tried out a illegal version be aware that there is a routine written in the program that creates really loud white noise whenever it wants to. That will destroy your speakers. And the “free” versions also mess up your registry, most likely that is the reason why it wont work.
Why dont you just go to the store and get a “free” vci? Or a free Traktor?
