Vote for America's Best DJ 2010!

Carl Craig
Octave One(Lenny Burden and Lawrence Burden)
Derrick May
Juan Atkins
Kevin Saunderson

These people are American Electronic Dance Music. If they do not make top 10 I have lost faith in the American EDM Scene.

Yup just browsed that list, there is no facepalm big enough for this.

No love for Jazzy Jeff???
I know he uses serato, but come on guys.

I think we can all agree that there is no way that their could be a legitimate winner. This isnt like voting for a fucking president. its not like we can go read their dj platforms, or read the factory specs on their average crossfade stroke. hahahaha.

No way that was written in third person lol.

On that note, MYTH BUSTED!:

My money’s on whichever DJ can get on MTV and tell all the little teeny bopper girls to vote for him.

Seen 4 off this list in the past year. Dieselboy, Monk (Plays a VJ set locally every Friday), Tommie Sunshine, and AC Slater from Trouble & Bass. Dieselboy was at Planet of the Drums, so he had 2 other djs and they were swapping so fast it was hard to tell who was doing what. Monk is a pretty sick VJ but of course I am a little numb to him since he is readily available. Tommie Sunshine played a mad mad fidget house set that I dug, but half the crowd was oblivious to it, and AC Slater I saw on the Scion tour and while he was great, Le Castle Vania absolutely killed it that night. So all that being said, I’m voting for Craze, because off that list he is who I would be the most excited about seeing.

WOAH WOAH WOAH… Is Diplo and Major Lazer the same guy? If so then I may just be the happiest person in the world.

yeah jazzy jeff is the man… does he have any new mixes out i can cop? hook up a link!

no its a colab between diplo and switch

Towards the end of last year he had “He’s The King… I’m the DJ”, a MJ tribute thing. You can score a copy here…

And you can get “In The House Vol 1” (a nice jazzy house mix) and “My Favs Vol 1” (Classics) at his website…

^wicked, thanks bro

“Dont drop your corn-dog !!!”

I lol’d.

ummm Pauly D? Somebody got paid paid under the table like an Obama appointee for that tools entry. I didn’t know Baby Anne had a wandering eye either. She’s still a cutie

Leaning towards Tenaglia right now though cause he rocked us real good in Miami. didn’t expect to see Faust and Shortee up there.
Damn too many styles and skill sets to really make up my mind

Jazzy Jeff would get my vote, admitteldy you have a few other old school guys there too who i have seen a ministry years gone by, but the rest i barely know, and as someone already stated they don’t mention Derrick May,Juan Atkins or Kevin Saunderson..

proves im getting old lol

Hehe I hear you. To be honest, I saw him once and was so mad at myself for enjoying it! He throws a good party, that’s for sure. I just love the “Paris Hilton DJ” nickname.

Like it was said, Major Lazer is a collab between diplo and switch. I threw in the the (major lazer) because I saw him dj, it just happened to be in a group under the moniker name Major lazer. It was a great show. SO MUCH DAGGERING. lol.

voting for dustin zahn, didn’t even realize he was from america

Lol at those pictures… Glamour shots would be proud.

Lol pauly d…I really shouldn’t make fun of him considering I haven’t even touched a vinyl and am sticking to midi but…

Top 100? Lol I still laugh @ this video. I had to post it.

Hey I even pointed Karl Detken of Pioneer to JesC, being one of the first iPad DJs and all.

But, tbh, I was opting for either Jeff Mills, being one of the first guys to be a techno dj that made use of an 808 next to decks or making it more mainstream, Mix Master Mike and DJ Shadow.

DJ Shadow ended up getting my vote.

trust me dude, regardless of medium, I’m sure you have more creativity than that shit lol
