Warming Up For Mr Scruff 
I know i aint been around here much lately. What with this that and the other going on ive had little forum time to play with but i thought id share some good news.
Ill be playing at Kendal Calling Festival again this year (4th time) and im opening the Festival on my own doing a 2 and a half hour set in the House Party but im also warming up for Mr Scruff on the saturday.
Ive played with Scruff before (a looong time ago) so it will be cool to hook up again.
The website is annoyingly out of date (and my Biog is full of spelling mistakes) and the listings are a bit shabby so im not listed on the Scruff stage but … im doing it so its all good and should be a blast.
I was actually offered 5 slots across the festival but 2 of them clashed with BLONDIE and theres no way im missing them but im sure ill be doing a few more bits and pieces during the weekend as im usually the guy they call if someone pulls out.
Its a great festival and won Best Small Festival 2010. One of the founders is my girlfriends ex-housemate which explains the nepotism in me being given the choice set 
Ill post some pics when i come back down to earth.

SWEET!!! Congrats on the gig. Are you recording? I’d love to enjoy it from across the pond.
Hopefully the stage will be recorded. I can record my set thru Traktor. No chance i could get a recording of Scruffs set though. Unless i can rig my mini-disk player up whilst hes not looking (j/k)
The whole stage has to be rebuilt to his spec so ill be stuck on the side but it will be fun.

One day mate… Me and the g/f have Cali on the list of places to visit. Im sure SF would be on the route.
Not really… like i say there is a good deal of nepotism involved as im very good friends with organisers. But sometimes its who ya know that counts.

don’t be so modest. He’s one of the better acts to have strayed so far south - amazing, eclectic set. Bottled water until you’re done, then rip the ring out of it

Hey, congrats on opening for Mr. Scruff! I love his stuff and have missed seeing him with eerie predictability.

He usually records his sets and throw them up on soundcloud … all 6 hours of them :eek:

My mate Dave is Head of Tech Crew at the festival and has to strip down the stage and set all that up with Scruffs crew whilst im on… I think they have an hour !!!
ill be at the side with Traktor and an S4. Slight difference in setup.:eek:
That desk is mental. Must weigh getting on for a ton! Steel then Concrete then towels then soundproof tiles then wood, THEN sorbothane infused TTs? He definitely has audiophilitis.
