Warning - A New Disease (called APP[E]TITIS ) Identified

I finally managed to hijack my wife’s iPad for a few hours (had to wait for her and my almost 5-year-old son to lose interest in it) to check out iMaschine and algoriddim’s djay. My wife has 117 pending updates on her iPad! She has 3 versions of something called ‘Angry Birds’, 3 different versions of ‘Solitaire’, talking cats, giraffes and dogs, tabloid newspapers, fake bubble wrap, translators (OK we DO have 11 official languages), calculators, retro TV channels, puzzles, etc, etc, etc.

Is there a cure for this madness?

(I only have 2 apps on my HTC Desire - SoundHound and whatsapp - am I the mad one?)

There are three versions of Angry Birds because there is: Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio.

Angry Birds gets updated periodically. And Angry Birds Seasons gets updated when something like Halloween, Easter, or Summer occurs.

Angry Birds Rio is basically to promote a film, but the graphics are actually a lot better than the original and seasons.

I have a rooted HTC Desire running Cyanogenmod 7 that is S-OFF’d and I have countless apps. Titanium backup pro is essential though.

i’ve given up on iPad time, between a nearly two year old, the five year old and the wife, I can’t really use it. the apps are busting at the seams and i don’t want to bother to try to weed it down until finally deciding to upgrade to iOS5.
