Warning microsoft windows scam phone calls

SCAM WARNING - I know this has nothing to do with anything relating to this forum, but thought I best warn everyone.Today I got this phone call from some indian fella, telling me he was ringing from microsoft and that my computer has deadly viruses on it. I thought this sounded a bit dodgy so i hung up, and done a quick google search, apparantely there is a lot of these phone calls going around. Am not to sure what he was trying to do, but I have found out that it was deffeintly not a legit phone call.

All be aware, and let your freinds and family know, wouldnt want anyone to get ripped off.

Post this in your facebook status.

" Indian man calling me about viruses on my PC; I think i’d laugh so hard i wouldnt be able to finish the phone call. "

LOL yeah, quite obviously a scam. Just a bit confused as to where they got my phone number, sneaky bastards.

I love scam phone calls.

skip 2 mins

ergh why, am sure you wouldnt if they scammed you.

Because they are always hilariously shit, it’s a good way to waste 5 mins.

I enjoy stringing along cold callers for a little while if I have the time.

Listen to what they have to say for a bit then start asking them strange questions. The one that freaks people out most is if you whisper to them ‘What are you wearing?’

lol - i’m gonna try that

When they inevitably say ‘What?!’, reply with ‘Nothing’. Then whisper more things like ‘I think I can see you’.

If they get really stroppy then just ask them why they phoned you in the first place because all you’re trying to do is be nice to them.

Technically you’re not doing anything wrong, just don’t go over the line and say something stupid.

Have had the microsoft scam here in NZ.
It wa a bit of fun. I freaked out. OMG OMG what should I do etc. After pretending to follow instructions to open various folders and such, She asked me to read back pasword.
I spelled it out letter by letter Idontfallforscamsyousillybi****. She didnt see the funny side and hung up.
Oh how i LOLed

Ha thats great, I should of wound him up. I didnt think. Should of asked him what colour knickers he was wearing or something.

last time some overseas tele-scammer called my house i kept him one the phone for a good 30 minutes speaking gibberish to him and generally wasting his time with nonsensical tomfoolery until he had no choice but to hang up on me.

i figure if some asshole wants to bother me at home with a phone call, they better be ready to talk.

i call JG wentworth from time to time and wait on hold to talk to someone

and say

oh lulz… or calling infomercials and talking bout the best knife to keep mexicans off my lawn or about pleasuring myself with tatermitts (see below)

dooodes i totally fell for this for about 15minutes, i feel like such a douche. though i smartened up. they called as I was planning on wiping my HD because of viruses so i believed them. thankgod i didnt believe all of it.

wow! wongaling, what were your worries warranted when you went to wipe your HD? I would wait a while and whittle wood when a wonky weirdo with warnings whipped me a woozy!

why so many W’s?!?!?!?!?!
