I used the real SSL E series channel strip back in the late 80’s, and from what I can remember this is pretty spot on. The compressor was great on drums and percussion, using slow attack and fastish release to emphasise the attack, and having a quick play on the plug they seemed to have got that spot on. The eq seems to be what I remember, and good to have a gate too. It’s got side chain on the dynamics and will be great if it’s possible to trigger the gate. You can attenuate input gain to the channel, very helpful for stopping channel overload into other plugins, also phase reverse. The bundle also has the legendary bus compressor, and that seems spot on too.
I’ve been waiting to see if they put this bundle on sale and finally they have. Definitely one of the best plugin bundles they do
