Well my MDR-V700 headphones finally broke…
It seems like it’s the same piece that always breaks on these things. The pads have seen better days as well, but otherwise they’ve got years left on them. Anyone know of any retailers for replacement parts?
Think Duct Tape has a few aftermarket parts available for that model.
I’m a fan of the superglue mod, myself.

Well, I took them apart thinking “I can fix these”. Unscrewed them and springs and parts went flying, then the plastic pieces crumbled in my hands 
I’m going to try to make some sort of custom headphones out of them, using the speaker/pad/driver parts.
I’ll update the thread once I come up with something
