Hey guys, I’ve been looking at a number of headphones lately, and I’ve come across the WESC Bag Pipe Pro headphones. Does anyone have extensive experience with these? I really like their look and the driver in them seems impressive, however what worries me is the joints all look made out of plastic, and the cord cannot be detached from the headphones. Also, I’ve heard the bass response in them isn’t as good as in other headphones. I’m looking for reliable headphones that will last a long time, and I was hoping these could be the ones.
i own a pair of technics rp1200 and i can only say that i love them! but consider if you have a big head they might hurt after some time wearing them cause they sit pretty tight on your head. sound quality is awsome
definatley look into the sennheiser hd25 as well!
Bag Pipes looks nice, had them myself.
They go for around 80 euro in sweden, mostly made of plastic and doesnt feel to sturdy. Compared to other phones in the price range you get what u pay for..
Add some cash(another 80) and you’ll be looking at senn hd25’s or tma-1s
which will last a hell lot longer and have better specs and comfortability.
As a previous poster said, the WESC brand I still think is more about the looks,
for a daily listener riding the bus, they be fine.
I’d Scrub the bold ones off your list, there’s more decent ones out there for the cash.
For reliable, comfy as fcuk, seriously good sound and around $60-70..Sony MDR-V6’s are the bomb both for live and Studio work, I just gigged my 10 year old ones 2 nights ago and STILL cant find a better sounding replacement , no matter how hard I try (I have been trying).
I’ve replaced the pads twice in their lifetime - they look pretty cool n’ retro too (maybe thats just me)
Pioneer hdj-500’s get decent reviews too if you want to go with something newer.
The technics RP-DJ1200 were better headphones IMHO and more sturdy than the RPDH-1200 I believe if you can pick up a pair.
Sony MDR-700’s maybe, but I’ve seen a fair few falling apart (hinges breaking) after a gigging alot.
