what are some ways to change the sound of the bass
say i have a bass groove going on, but it sounds really dead.
if i want to bring the bass alive like in these 2-3 videos, what are some methods of flipping through different settings or etc to listen to different bass tones

change pitch, play with different notes or change the transport of the osc in your vst’s
a multiband compressor should do the trick.
Maybe try duplicating the track, and putting a hipass on one, and a lopass on the other, then use some distorter/enhancer/sausagefattener on the bass (preferably midbass, since distorting subbass won’t bring any good sounds out).
