Both much wanted features, thanks for elaborating with a mock-up!
There are some issues with the auto key match (if it should only go to the closest compatible key, or further, and keep in mind the key detection is still not great), but nothing that can’t be figured out =)

Auto Key Matching should just be expanded to become NATIVE SMART LISTS.

  1. Is cool but not necessary since there is not really a ton of options in the preferences. Can be super helpful to those new to Traktor.

  2. Is it same as the “Pitch Preserve” function found in the mapping options?

Add In > Track Deck > Keylock On (Preserve Pitch).

  1. There is enough of empty space in that section of the deck. My vote would go for this if there should be new dedicated beatjump buttons in the same line.

  2. Useful.

  3. Would be nice to have.

I’d be happy for any update that isn’t geared towards performance DJs (stems, sequencers, etc..)

I would like to see the key matching go open to everyone. It’s one of my favorite functions of the D2/S8.

I just want a modern browser with smart playlists, and native ALAC support.

The browser is literally terrible and worse than freeware dj players now.

What’s wrong with the browser? I have seen a few people complain about it. I don’t have experience with other DJ software so I might be missing out, but I like the browser, I think it is quite simple and intuitive. What can be improved?

It is simple, and because of that, it’s also intuitive.

But it could do so much more!!! Traktor reads a LOT of info from our music files, and does nothing but display it! Traktor also GENERATES a lot of useful info that DOESN’T get used.

We just want access to the info that Traktor generates, and that already exists in our music files, and to be able to Smart/Auto sort/Search through it…

What really needs an update is Controller Manager and effects.

I dont think it is intuitive at all.

You cant even duplicate a freaking playlist. You literally have to make a new playlist, give it a name, then manually drag and drop the files into it, its archaic.

Every thing you click on takes focus away from the track window, and there are no breadcrumbs to get back to the track window.

I’ll have to agree. It’s intuitive to me now through habit.

I’d love to be able to have the option to read a pre-prepared setlist on a thumbdrive in the same way Rekordbox works. Have had to reimport and re-analyse tracks when mates have come back to play on my Traktor system and it gets annoying quickly. Should be as simple as plugging in the USB stick, Traktor reads the file and goes “Ok, ready to play” as soon as it gets the relevant database information stored on it.
