On the left of the mixer (their left) there’s a soundbite loop machine. Hawtin used that a lot a few years back.
The little white thing just above it though, not sure what that is (midi footswitch/knobs… go figure).
Yeah it really is the boss dd7 ) Thx For That. So now looking for someone maybe using it? Is it any Good? How come they use this ower something like efx-500 or 1000. Richie Efx possibility?
I can only suppose this delay box sounds good and you’ve got a good tactile control over it for an old-school-ish setup, provided you have fx sends/returns.
I went ahead and checked Carola’s gear in videos for this year… the boss pedal is definitely part of his setup (in the vid you originally linked, you could say the only thing from RH is the xone 1d and his macbook).
It sounds a bit like Hawtin’s signature delay twisting, but only a bit - that effect’s been discussed on this board already, iirc it’s a third party vst in ableton to which he routes his aux sends.
so today i bought this fine tool and i must say it rocks, very nice effecting.
it´s a little bit small ( especially the poties ), i have big hands but it´s defenitely blasting and worth the fingerbreaking
The Boss DD7 is a brilliant Delay pedal.
Easily the best pedal delay (not rackmount) ive ever owned (ive had a few) and ive had a DD3 and a DD7 over the years.
Its a very clean delay. You can get it to sound a bit like a tape delay with a nice analog sound. The DD3 is a very very clean delay pedal though.
Its really easy to use and you can get some really great sounds out of it.
