I’m curious as to what kind of music you listen to for fun? I know we all DJ something, and are stuck listening to it all the time (even when we love it), but sometimes I need to escape the industrial, the goth, the techno or trance.
So what do you listen to for pure pleasure?
I listen to classical, jazz, some folk and classic rock.
my roots are settled in the hardcore scene. so i still listen to: oldschool hc, new school hc, metalcore, chaoscore, grind, death, crust…stuff like this. i even have a band…yay
I try to have a broad a taste as possible so i tune into the local underdog radio station that does well at playing pretty much every genre you can think of.
I listen to loads of stuff, indie rock, electro, ed banger stuff, trip-hop (especially the gorillaz), leftfield and other random stuff.
Artists in my playlist right now are:
Crystal Castles, Cut Copy, CSS, Portishead, Goldfrapp, Ed banger records vol 1,2,3, Muse, Data Rock, Goose, Fleet Foxes, Hot Chip, Chemical Brothers, Santogold and Bloc Party
(Got the first Battle Royal on DVD, one of our favorites here. )
By the way:
The music soundtracks for both Battle Royal movies were composed, arranged and conducted by Masamichi Amano, performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and features pieces of real classical music with some original composition. The choral classical music used as the film’s main theme music is “Dies Irae” from Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem.
what kind of music do I “not” listen to would be easier to answer. because I listen to everything else…
