What should I set my limiter at?
I’m not knowledgeable with limiters and dB-+ etc, the sound/volume terms (somthing i am going to work on)
But know that having a limiter on something will basically stop music/FX (especially delays) form getting too loud and blowing speakers… Right?
So, i have an echo, Soundtoys Echoboy, and i have traktor and ableton routed up, using my Aux1 know on my Xone 22 to send the FX in, i notice it can get really full on and if i keep turning the ux 1 know and the soundtoys plugin output, it gets loud,
what should i set my limiter on so that im safe to turn the aux 1 knob right up, and have the echo plugin output as much s i can for full FX?
I currently just have it on this (image attached) is it just a matter of playing it by ear and seeing what sounds best? I just want to make sure that nothing blows…
Alos, is it okay to have the ‘output’ of the echo plugin turned all the way up? or quite far up… it helps the FX sound better.
