I think the RIAA put a fair price on it. The playlists on my ipod are golden and just about the best damn thing in the world… haha
well they use an old system based on cd physical materials and when the internet was for rich ppl or the army…now everything is accesible with thecnology they need to follow the evolution…i still buy some multiplayer games that require a cd key and internet login to play (no choice)…video games know how to adapt and stilll get a huge chunk of money.
Do the artists actually get the majority of the money sought through lawsuits by the RIAA?

RANT WARNING:
Even though I am pro-paying-for-the-shit-you-own, it is awful what the RIAA has done to people’s lives. Some people are barely scraping by. And if they didn’t settle those court cases, the RIAA leaned into them hard with the penalties just to teach them a lesson. That corporate big business bullying is f’ed up. Just because someone doesn’t have the money to get a 10 lawyer team shouldn’t mean that they have to submit to the whatever the large company’s desire is.
Yes this is all very interesting to me but in nz we don’t follow or get bullied by american based corporate organisations like this. if the RIAA ever tried to bring up a case against a nz citizen it would get thrown out due to our privacy laws.
