When changing programs in the lpd8 traktor stops?

Lpd8 and traktor 2 - When changing programs in the lpd8 traktor stops?

Hello everyone,
I just got the lpd8 and with the help of this forum I have mapped my lpd8 in traktor 2
I set 2 programs in the Lpd8 but the problem is that while a track is playing and I’m switching between 1st and 2nd program traktor stops playing. Everything is still working but the track that was playing.
I understand it has to do something with the midi channel sends but couldn’t figure how to make it work
Any suggestions?
Thanks ahead for the help!

Since ppl are posting tsi with 4 programs I guess this can be done..help anyone?

I would check play/pause output command first. Make sure it is set min=0 ; max=1

I have on the in- deck play, deck A assigned to note F2
And I added an deck play assigned to deck A output.. But still the same thing happen. Cant switch threw the progs without traktor pausing the track that is currently playing..

Help ppl! Maybe someone can upload a photo of a working mapping please???

Thank you very much for the help this forum is about controller mapping but no one seems to know one thing

Your issue is regardless to mapping IMO. You should send ticket to Akai support and see if they can solve your enigma.

lets say i open a new generic midi.. i map the play/pause butten on prg 1 to pad 1
when i switch to prg 2 its not suppose to stop?
all i have is the In play/pause mapping

Did you make sure to set different MIDI channel for each program?

yeah.. when i click the prg 2 pad in Learn mode it said Ch2NoteC2 (or smt like this)

it doesnt go over the other.. just pauses the track..
lets say i want to make a new mapping to a play/pause pad in prg 1 and prg 2 .. what should i do?

Add play (deck A), set prg1, learn pad, add play (deck B), set prg2, learn pad. You did this?

Yes did that. The play is “deck play” under transport I believe I got it right? But still same problem..

So.. Any solution? Maybe someone else can help here too? What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the command is set to toggle and not hold (and the button on the lpd to momentary)
If you switch banks and the button is set to hold the midi command probably turns off

THANKS MAN!
this was the problem.. but now i how do i get the led’s to work like i want?? do you have an idea??

Do the pads receive midi messages for the LEDs? if not I dunno. If so, it’s as simple as adding a midi out command to the pad you want to light up.

Yes. They light up for a second that the command is sent.. Just add an out? Can it be done on all commands? Lets say filter on/off low kill on/off etc..?

Yes it can but why not simply try out first and see for yourself? You can always delete command if you mess it up.

I guess you are right ill get to it now! Thank you very much muffintop and Stewe you both have been very helpful!!
