When i get my new VCI…

Hi All,

My gf bought me a new VCI 100 for my birthday but unfortunately the company is awaiting stock. Apparantly the UK is struggling with its distributer or somthing so we are waiting for a new uk contact to be assigned. (can anyone confirm this or am i being spun a yarn?)

Anyway when i eventually get the unit am i right in thinking there is now no need to upgrade to get all features working as long as i get a 1.2? or do you still have to get 1.3 firmware to get full functionality ?

You can have full functionality with 1.2. Firmware 1.3 has some other advantages, but it isn’t necessary to using the VCI-100.

ahh ok many thanks … is there a comparison chart or a list of these advantages anywhere ?

ive pretty much seen all the vids i think but still am confused as to what the point of upgrading to the 1.3 is … i’ll have another poke and see what i find

I can confirm that the UK is having problems getting them in stock.

I placed an order with Guilford Sound & Light at the start of December for one and they have only just got round to getting me one now.

They managed to get my the Black Edition at no extra cost due to the length of time they have kept me waiting.

It maybe worth giving them a call.

really … who did that for you was it guildford sound and light or vestax themselves that have taken the hit there?
