Is this serious.
Most are made in factories, some in shops, and others in studios. Really depends on how many buttons the have, proportionally to the number of faders.
Well on a serious note. If you go to some manufacturers websites, look where they are located. Most stuff is made in China, but you might be able to work in customer service or R & D
I’d hazard a guess that, quantitatively, 95% of the world’s dj gear is manufactured in big manufacturing plants such as shenzen by huge contractors such as foxconn…
better move to china mate.
Pioneer stuff is made in Malaysia, designed in Japan.
Where are you from Marlem?
Monome devices are made in New York.
DJ Marlem is still rockin’ a total count of 1 post. Wouldn’t a manufacturing engineer know what part of the production process he would be involved in (regardless of the product) and have a greater knowledge of the manufacturing business than your average DJ?
Refer to my post above, people are here trying to help him -_-
Oi bruv. Ya should work on making your own piece of hardware to use toward your portfolio. Even if you only sell a few one offs. Go from there. Much luck in the job hunt and welcome to the forums.
Most companies that produce DJ gear use factories located in China. And most companies do not own their own factories, but instead contract out to OEM/ODMs. As a manufacturing engineer, you’re going to probably be dealing with those factories and not with the companies that sell the finished goods.
If you’re looking for factories that make DJ gear, a good place to start is to look at a sourcing resource like Alibaba and search for DJ products. From that list, look for actual factories (and not trading companies).
Good luck!
Dj KiddLuke produces my gear in his basement.
