If people can come onto a popular dj forum that has been going for 5 years and ask the same question that gets asked every week, as if it had never been asked before, then a sticky won’t make any difference.

FWIW, it is in the FAQ/recommended sticky.

I’d advocate a separate forum for stickies or FAQs since new folks generally click the general discussion forum and don’t know what a sticky is but don’t immediately see what they’re looking for on the first page and then ask the question. Some people will ask the same questions no matter what is done but I think it would be better if it was easier to find oft-repeated information.

Well, the only way I’m going to be successful is by practicing. I can’t practice if something stops me from doing so therefore I can’t learn. I’m not dumb, I can read but if I’m stuck somewhere, confused or just think I’d be better off and get better answers by ASKING then you bet I’m sure going to ask. If I’ve learned something it is when in doubt to ask, I’ll leave the “shake your booty” part to those nagging at me for asking.

Sure when your face to face there is no such thing as a stupid question. However every single one of the questions you’ve asked has been answered several times and the answers have all been cataloged. Not saying questions are stupid, just redundant. Trust me, you will learn more by searching for your answers than you would if you just ask your questions.

I do both, and thanks to that I have all the information I need. Had I not posted these noob threads I would still be stuck on many things. I understand asking the same questions that are asked almost weekly is annoying and I appreciate everyone’s experience, information and tips.
