Where to get started?

Hello,
First I want to apologize if I format this post wrong, or if something similar was already created.. I am new to the forum, and was having difficulty finding the information I was looking for, although I am sure it is already on the site.

I have recently developed an interest in creating/making my own EDM type music, and was wondering where would be a good source to start? I see online all these things between software, to all the hardware a DJ uses (Mixers, turntables, etc).

Any guide in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, once again sorry if a repetitive question.

get a demo version of a daw. i use ableton. and start by watching youtube tutorials and then build your first beats. it will take some time till it realy starts to be fun but its worth it.

i would also recommend you to take keyboard lessons and build general musical knowledge.
