Which controller combination for producing - Push APC40 Maschine APCmini

Hello

I have gained some experience with producing and would like to upgrade now. The working programs are Live, Maschine, Massive, Kontakt- and Reaktor-Player and few plugins.
Now I want to get away from mouse and keyboard and replace it with controller. After some research some combinations are shortlisted. Possible controller are Ableton Push, AKAI APC40 mk2, NI Maschine MK2, AKAI APC mini.

Now I’ve been thinking for the combo Push + APC40 or the combo Push + Maschine + APCmini (but more expensive). What do you think is the better choice or would you buy something else entirely?

I’m stumped.

Push

BEST CONTROLLER EVER!!!

Did they start selling Maschine software without the hardware now?

I own a Maschine and like it. But, if I were buying today, I’d buy Push instead. It just has more options in about the same space.

I have Push and love it but there are things that I wish it could do. It can’t do much with audio tracks. The live9 browser is terribly implemented through the push. To my knowledge, Both these things maschines hardware outweighs the Push. Unfortunately, Ableton features by far beats maschine’s software.

I’m still on Live 8 and I’m in no hurry to upgrade so I have no experience of push, what I can say is though, I have maschine mikro and apc20 (l use a kontrol X1 for more controls) and I think it’s a great combo. Routing options from maschine are pretty good, I run indvidual outs from maschine into ableton, sequence a drum machine through midi from maschine, and can control everything from the APC.

For drums etc Maschine is brilliant, and for control the APC is fine, I would prefer the full size maschine and apc40 but what I have and use I am pretty happy with my workflow.

Obviously dependent on how you want your workflow will decide on what equipment you should get.

Push, it’s amazing. I hardly touch the computer any more.
