I’ve been looking forever for a good version of “Hit The Road Jack” and finally found one in this mix around minute 52:

@Hedge: I’d say that those are just samples dropped over a beat- samples coming from this version of the record- identifiable by the characteristic female lead (iTunes-Link)
My .02$ would still be that it’s done almost something similar to cue-juggeling.
