Which new Midi Fighter Pro to get?

Which new Midi Fighter Pro to get?

Torn between 2 of the new midi fighters to get…The Beat Masher or The Cue Master…

Which one does everyone think?

Oh and what does everyone think of them?

Im interested in the beatmasher. More my thing I geuss. Looking to see a demo of each model in action though.

yeah, i want one now!! but i know i should wait to see what each one does. Im looking at the beatmasher, and the XX Fader. so we’ll seeee

hi

think I’m going for the beatmasher

1st looking forward to messing with tunes
2nd it’ll fit nicely next to my gear
3rd I reckon the mappings will be so crazy I don’t think i’ll miss one more knob
4th just cause i want one lol

I’m confused. Isn’t the XX fader and the Beatmasher EXACTLY the same thing…?

I want a kit :open_mouth: Am I being greedy? I just want to put it together myself using a classic midifighter I already own… guess something like that might be coming if I wait a while. Honestly though I think 349 is a great price for the fully built kit.

i think your thinking of the cue master version and the xxfader. They look the same but ones just sideways. “yup- they have the same controls, but in order to be used sideways- and in the manner designed, they must have totally different software programs installed so the buttons send out the right notes and the faders are oriented correctly. They also have separate mapping files so it’s essentially a different model.” -Ean Golden, taking from the comments section of the blog article.

So basically mappings. Coolio.

if anyone is gettin a new midi-fighter and is selling there old standard one gimme a shout as i want one

The XX is primarily made to go alongside turntables as opposed others which are geared as stand alones or to go with other controllers.

I was really looking for one all inclusive internal mixer solution.

and

come to mind. I think the XX design would do the job, but it’s still missing some elements. Still is gorgeous - I’m sure I’ll find a way to justify buying one

That second controller is really beautiful. Who made that?

No price or release date yet. Lame.

I bet it costs an absolute ton.

Were’s this from? It’s similar to the one I’m building (currently in my head) but mine’s got more faders. I’m curious cuz I’ve got the 1-4 player buttons also and thought I was being original, lolz.

Honestly I used to be in the same boat, but after buying a proper mixer, I would much rather use it than a midi controller by far. Plus since I bought it secondhand for $525 (Mackie d4 pro), any decently constructed midi controller would cost me more just to do less. Internal mixing also sounds worse than external mixing IMHO and I’ve done internal mixing with a presonus firebox for over a year.

Oh yeah certainly. Real mixers are the dogs bollocks.

However I would LOVE to see a portable midi mixer style controller. Think the x session pro with better build quality and more transport controls or perhaps like the kontrol X1 but with faders rather than those encoders. That’d be neat.

X1 with faders!!! thats what they need.would go perfectly alongside the s4 and MF

Which MF Pro to go with

I have the same question about which Pro to get. I was looking at the Beat Masher vs. Cue Master, but after reading this I’m also considering the XX Fader instead of the CM b/c the orientation would fit my set up better.

Can anyone tell me how a Beat Masher AND either the CM or XXF would work with an S4 controller? Too much or would that be killer? I love the idea of destroying / distorting the sound with the BM and cue point layering with the CM / XXF… but am not sure if some of the buttons on both MF Pro’s would have the same functions…

i want a super knob
