Who here suffers from gear love (attachment)
I thought this would be a cool discussion. I have an S4 for gigging but still have a Rane TTM 56S at home for scratching with tractor scratch pro. Now that scratch pro 2 will enable timecode functionality I’ll soon primarily use the s4 for scratching as well. I cant bring myself to sell my audio 8 dj or my Rane TTM 56S. I feel so sttached to that mixer. I can remember one of the reasons i bought that mixer was because of shiftees first traktor scratch pro demo (peep it on YouTube). I thought i wanna be as good as him. It brings memories of when i first started and thinking I would never reach the level I wanted to. Its been a total blur. Even if i never used it again after getting pro 2 I would keep it as a display piece. It holds a sentimental story and value. That’s my gear love.
