Work in Progress- Where to go? (Breakstep?)

Tried to combine rap hardcore and dubstep.. got this:

dont really know what to do with it haha  any advice?

theres alot that need to be done to the sound. your drums need to be alot more present. they almost disappear after the buildup while that is where they should be really banging. try to let the bassline duck under the kicks and snares via sidechaining.

also there is a lack of dynamics in general. is it overcompressed maybe? i cannot really hear subbass either. sounds like the wobble bassline is pushing everything else out.

other than that, i like your wobbles. with the right sound and some more variation this could be really bangin’ on a dubstep party. (and i dont feel like that we have a new subgenre here )

oh by the way: soundcloud fucked some of my tracks up soundwise. so dowload available really helps the judgement.

As the other poster noted, you need to bring your drums forward in clarity.
Try some sidechaining/ducking. If you’re using Ableton here’s a tutorial :

Next, you need more bass variations. Maybe add some wobbles and change the octave of a couple of those vowel basses?.

I’d also add in some more melodic elements to add substance to the heavy bass.

p.s… besides from the barking sample, what does it have to do with hardcore rap? Are you going to add an acapella later on?

I ment hardcore metal in terms if break downs and pig squeals. Sorry should have been mote soeific. Thanks for all these ideas guys

Metal + Dubstep = Enter Shikari. Like practically everything in music, it has been done.

Then again, bitches don’t know about my Norwegian abstract blues-folk-jazz j-pop.
