Workflow Question for Serato and Traktor (dual use) DJs

I switch back and forth between Traktor and Scratch Live so this is not intended to be a whose DVS is better thread (for the record I like them both). I find that it takes me a minute to get used to each software after I do the switch. I get very hesitant to use ANY keyboard shortcuts because of this. Does anyone have any tips (layout, library management, keyboard mappings, etc. ) on how to streamline your workflow so that the switch between the two pieces of software is as seamless as possible?

I know that if im doing both in a short time frame I make sure to keep my playlists identical. I remapped my traktor shortcuts to match the serato ones I use (like shift + left(right) arrow to load onto a deck) etc

if youre on a mac, buy both a traktor and serato overlay

or…

map traktor to have the same keyboard shortcuts as serato.

problem solved.

You could always go the long route and route SSL into a third traktor deck through virtual cables and Asio4All, but that’s almost asking for trouble :smiley:
