I know we Brits love a good moan about the weather, and I also know that there are people far more northerly than I am/we are who will laugh this off and perhaps ‘trump’ it, but -11c…seriously!!!
Bring on the Panic buying, cancelled trains and people who cant drive in normal conditions trying to do it in this weather…Glad I have another week off :0)
-11° C? That’s not that bad. And here in Germany I’m actually a good bit further south than Manchester.
I bet Germany doesn’t grind to a halt when it happens though…UK does…
I have visited Germany a couple of times, and love it. One of the main reasons being “It just works”!
-11° C at the moment. Going skiing soon.
And enjoy the ride, icy roads with proper driving techniques is a lot of fun.
Maybe Germany should change its name to Apfel.
I’m wishing for -11. Its 3 now, and my snowboard isn’t happy. Can’t wait for the -30 days though. The snow is so goooooood.
I want to learn to board…believe it or not I worked in management at an indoor ski-facility and never had single lesson or even a ‘go’ in almost 18months!

It was +44 here over the weekend
We’ve got a reasonable amount of snow today, 5cm or so. Pretty unusual round here.
Same here…quite warm and sunny though…which is perhaps more unusual than the snow!
Last time i saw a pile of snow was at a student party. Very rare for the temp down here to drop below 10c, even in winter
We had 20cm overnight…
St. Johns, Newfoundland in Canada go 1 full metre of snow, that’s something to worry about.
After much hype, was all a bit of a damp squib. Thankfully though, I had booked the week off work!
I’m not complaining, it’s the rest of this traffic that is. 
I’m at home with my new toys, about to really annoy the neighbours…
