X1 as Drumpad - How can this be possible?

Someone explain to me?
It’s Ableton. Simply MIDI map the buttons to the slots in the drum rack, make a beat through a MIDI clip, then play.
But i think the buttons of the X1 aren’t really made do punch on so it will kill the X1 really fast?
(i will sure not try on mine how long they last ;D)
What are you talking about? Nobody’s punching anything in the video.
And since the green light is on then we know that it is in fact in midi mode.
