XDJ RX2 With Rekordbox 6.1

I noticed while running in midi mode with RB that the slip mode pads have some cool effects. I noticed there is also a second bank button in the software on the computer. However when I click this bank it does not activate the pads to use the effects in bank 1. Maybe Im misunderstanding how this works.

I assume if you used your mouse to select bank 2 that the pads on the controller would then fire what is in bank 2?
