xsession mod idea

ok so i was thinking i really been looking for a 4 channel midi controller with knobs for eq and a xfader, but can’t find anything. thought about the vcm and apc 40 but its to much on there and i am never gonna use most of the faders or pots.

then i was thinking about buying a ddm4000 but i don’t like the idea of no internal sound card in there and i don’t want to buy it and use midi but not be able to route the sound to it also.

so i came to the conclusion i have what i am looking for on my desk the x session pro, 4 faders, eq knobs, and a xfader, but only gripe about it is the case.

now my question is, Is it possible for me to build a metal case get it laser cut, take the internal stuff from the xsession and put in the case, and get new knobs and fader knobs for it.

just a thought or would it end up costing more than the ddm4000

Yeah, just re-wire the new knobs to the pots holes on the PCB. Should be really easy. You could even turn the buttons to 2 sets of 4 arcade buttons. :slight_smile:
