Yamaha DD-65…will it work?

Have one of these lying around at home, it has 2 MIDI ports on the back (out and in). I was wondering if it could be used with Traktor if I buy a MIDI-USB cable for it?

Is there any way it would work and if so what else do i need to do beforehand?

If your external soundcard has a midi port, plug it into that, if it doesnt buy a usb / midi adapter. Its very easy to do, just plug it in and select whatever device you plug it into as the midi in inside of traktor. Njoy !

It’s really that simple? I was over complicating things, thinking that I would need a driver or software but I really only need a cable?!

This is why we keep going on and on about MIDI controllers - they are that simple to set up because they all work the same way. God bless hardware standards. sigh
