You won’t believe what just happened…

Someone offered me a gig for 800+ people… While I’m a bedroom DJ with no reputation or fame whatsoever!:tada:
Too bad I had to turn it down, as bedroom DJ with no experience reading the crowd etc. I just wasn’t ready for this…

But still, wow :open_mouth:

where do you live in North-Holland, i might have a ±400 people gig for you if you prefer that . Do you have any mixtapes? And what genre do you like to spin?

Haha wow, just when I read all those articles about getting yourself out there and stuff x)

But that’d be awesome!
I live in Anna Paulowna, but getting to Haarlem wouldn’t be a problem for me.
I mostly spin House, but I also do Hardstyle, DnB and Dubstep

You can check a (EDM-ish) mix of me on Soundcloud:

And if you’re serious about me please PM?

will check it out and i wil PM you if this thing is really gonna happen

Haha, cool man!

Just out of intrest what is your gender and age?

He is a he.

What kind of gig was it Jay?

What is the difference between a 400 person gig and a 800? If you are not experienced, I advise against playing either IMO.

Lisen to his mix, its not bad at all

Well the event isn’t worked out into details yet. But it’s gonna be something with mostly the harder styles. And I heard the promotor was trying to book some big names like Mental Theo…

Ah, okay.

wow. that’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. you should’ve have taken it. who knows when you’ll get that kind of chance again.

if you’re the first dj then there’s no pressure. you can play softer tracks with simple transitions and there’s no pressure to wow the crowd. if the offer still stands i’d call them back, accept it and practice a ton between now and then. just do the gig for the experience. unless you’re just absolutely terrible at transitions i don’t see why not.

that’s just my opinion anyway…

Well the thing is the gig is also cross-country for me… (And even tough I live in the small Netherlands that’s still far xP)
But I’m talking to the guy about another gig for about 200 people closer to where I live. And I’m talking with DJDoubleYou too

I think you did the right thing, the same happened to me one, didn’t took the gig too. And yes that’s true.

DoubleYou

Man, I wish I had a 800ppl and 400ppl gig that was offered to me.

Props to you man. Rock the crowd

everything is possible in the Netherlands

The land of DJs

i just realized that it said haarlem and not harlem

Happens al the time, gonna change it right now.
