Your top 3 ‘go to’ music Blogs
I wanna know what everyone’s favourite music blogs are, was thinking top 3’s could be cool, i’m pretty clueless in terms of finding any decent sites that consistently upload proper tunes.
I mainly spin commercial remixes with some electro and dubstep. But i’m open to exploring any other genre specific blogs!

Very true and I believe everything I pointed to is legal and gets stuff directly for the artists. If I’m wrong I really do want someone to bring it to my attention.
Torrenting illegal material is stealing. Torrenting in and of itself is not stealing. That said, there are plenty of music blogs that aren’t about stealing. I just can’t find any of them.

i realized even the big blogs were stealing when i started seeing downloads from commercial artists dissappear within an hour or so on gottadancedirty and a couple other major music blogs (at artist request).
begs to answer the question, why would the artist request it if everything was legit promo stuff on the level?
answer: because it wasnt legit in the first place.
i think most blogs find stuff via various sources, upload it to a file sharing site (and really, if these sites were legit, theyd be getting promo MONEY as well. they wouldnt need rapidshare or filefront.), make their post and hope they can get away with it since its all about the google adsense clicks. I think they figure (if we get caught we just say “sorry thought it was cool” or something and just take it down right away.

http://electronicaoasis.com is my favorite. plus they link the songs they post (majority at least) to beatport, not to downloads.
Soundcloud for previews and free original tracks (running a big group helps with that!), You Tube subscriptions for previews and “hey, thats a cool track” type moments. Ektoplazm of course for wicked free creative commons releases. Psyshop, Beatport are the main shops i use. Like most, i’m no saint with music but will defo try and pay for my tunes where possible.
I really like the sounds discovered through vacaywave.
For mainstream I like Dirrtyremixes.
