I have the American Audio stand that is similar but its not as good as the above as the lips at the front that stop the laptop from sliding forward arent as high.
I highly recommend it mate. Look out for the exact same stand by Magma its the 1.0 Stand. I got the folding 2.0 version but it was not sturdy enough, in fact it was as wobble as hell so i sent it back.
The uberstand is wicked but i like the slope of the Magma. It angles the lappy towards you . Also the Uber isnt adjustable in height. When i see it in pics i always think it looks too high…
For instance. I bought my audio 4 for R2500 ( 220 Quid ) and had to brought to me by my boss from the UK( Our main office) and here it costs R4500.
So they whack one R2000.
The Uberstand costs like…70 Quid (R800) but they will charge R1300 for it here.
That’s why I trawl the 2nd had sites (Gumtree) and rather get my travelling mates or co-workers to bring stuff for me.
You can pretty much get anything but they charge heavily.
They will import etc …but you pay top dollar.
Rather just import it myself or get it brought over.
Uberstand is great - but the shelf doesn’t hold many AI’s. My U46DJ JUST about fits on it. The Zomo stands look bloody expensive - check out maplin or ebay for Millenium stands. Much cheaper.
Its fine for the money. I have 2 in my studio.
Its very sturdy. The only down side is the shallow lips. They keep the lappy on ok but i it gets knocked it could pop off (in theory).
220 Squids for an Audio 4?! dude thats $700NZ! Got mine from djtt, with two cables and delivered, for less that $400. Y’all must have heinous import duties etc over there.
Sorry for bumping an old thread but i think i could use this for asking some questions about zomo stands…
I’ve been looking for an affordable laptop/cd player stand & looks like Zomo LS-50 stands fits the bill (albeit slightly hefty, but under 160 USD incl shipping)
Do you really want that design ? Something with 2 legs or arms will always be better. It seems good enough if you really want but it’s your laptop you’re talking about here, your baby.
I don’t have the stand itself but something constructed like that will most likely be fine at most not super-ultra-mega-shitsgoingnowhere-secure. You get me ?
yeah i get you here…but i’m looking for a cdj stand that does not have to be bolted down, nor i would like to drill my wall.
my console table has a very little clearance left after 2 turntables an a 13" mixer.
the best solution would be to construct another dj console table with ample space to put everything, but then again looking for a good carpenter who knows how to follow instruction would be troublesome (once i’ve made a small table with the lower compartment would fit a vinyl storage, but in the end it was wrong & the space is very low)
