Zune pass

Zune pass

Do any of you own the zune pass? I was thinking about buying it for the fact that it will probably be cheaper in the long run if i plan to stay with mobile djing. My only problem is that i dont know how the 10 free songs you get per month works. Do they become DRM free? I also had problem in the past when moving my songs around because of it.

Or if any one else knows another music service leme know! THANKS!

I use eMusic right now, even though they are changing their service, it’s really good for getting DRM free, 320kbp/s tracks.

Sorry for taking this away from the original question, I just signed up for the trail. I downloaded an EP with 3 tracks. They range around 200kbps. How do you get/find 320 tacks?

Furthermore, this might just be because I am in the trail, but I do not see any “offers” to make downloading an entire album use less credits.

I know that they are changing my plan from $50 for 200 tracks to $40.99 for 100 tracks, but if an album is more than 12 tracks, it will only charge me 12 tracks for it. I know every song I have downloaded from them is 320

Hows the eletronic selection looking?

It’s not sorted well. Actually, it’s sorted pretty terrible. There’s stuff in Dance that should be in Trance, stuff in Trance that should be in Ambient and stuff in Electronic that, well, isn’t electronic.

But, if you know where to start (pick an artist) the “Other Users Like” section can lead you to really good stuff. I’ve had a lot of luck with that.

The genres aren’t really clear, but they are still working on upgrading the system and look. Now, whenever I log in, I get a “You might Like” recommendation with around 40 albums, which is kinda cool.

Zune is still not drm free I think

Seriously?

I’ve never had a 320kbps file from them - they’re all ~150-250kbps.

I’ve spoken to them about it and they say it’s to make the overall album sizes the same … which I can vaguely understand.
