    Default Gryz's Ultra OCD Setup

First got into mixing in 2010 with Traktor 1.2.X on an old 17" HP with a Hercules Steel controller and an Audio 2 on some Logitech 2.1 computer speakers. Did the job well enough, and I learned as much as I could while I had that setup before moving on.

From there I added a MidiFighter for shits and giggles.

Then I got tired of internal mixing, so I bought a DJM 400 and a pair of CDJ 400s. Love the CDJ 400s, hated the DJM.

Shortly after that, I got relocated for my job. Decided since my life was changing, so should my gear. Sold the DJM and replaced it the the Ecler Nuo 2.0 as well as an X1. Both of those together have completely changed the way I mix and I don't see them leaving my setup for a very long time. Also upgraded to an Audio4 I got off of a member here I believe.

Relocated again and decided to head back to school. Sold the MidiFighter, and bought myself a new 15" MBP upgraded to 8gb RAM and a 1TB external HD...Night and day difference in latency and speed from my 2gb HP. Icing on the cake were some KRK8s in Ferrari Grey. TP2 came into the picture then as well.

Entered a nearby beat-matching competition since I thought I was fairly good at it. Here are a few edits I received.

Other than that, I am still happily mixing away. Soundcloud is pissing my off, so I have been uploading to Mixcloud recently. It's in my sig if you want to have a listen to my latest mix...actually my first one in almost a year since I had taken a break due to work and am now back in school.

    Thanks for looking!

    Nice!
It's not the gear. It's how you use it.
limitations are the source of creativity.
If you don't practice you don't want it.

Thank you. Yep, I believe they were going to discontinue that color on the model which was the reason they were going for less than the standard colored KRKs. I also like that they match the grey face plates on the CDJs, Ecler and even MBP or are at least relatively close.

Yep. It is so damn accurate in HID mode. I just hope if I upgrade to something else it will also support that mode.
I tried timecode cds and quickly switched back...
