It is posible to use the remix decks just a the sample decks in 2.1.2
It didn't act the same. I have the sample section of my DDM4000 to control the sample decks. When I tried it with the remix decks I had to hit each button twice for the sample to play. Hit it once and the sample would play then I would have to hit it again to reset it. That alone was annoying and just seeing all these sample slots on my screen that I can't access without using the mouse was even more annoying so I went back to 2.1.2 and I will stick with that until NI releases the midi commands for the remix decks.

Is there any backing up I need to do before updating?

You should probably manually backup anyway at least your collection file but Traktor keeps an old version by itself.

I can understand that. But I mapped my Radius 3000 4 hotcue buttons and whit mapping some contitions to the buttons after I had sample loaded or captured from deck they worked as play/stop. and you don't need to have all 16 sample slots visible on screen.
But then again if your happy with 2.1.2 then stay with it if it aint broken...

I played with it for about an hour and it seemed stable. I do have a problem with my X1 mapping getting messed up, but that came before this update.
