    Default traktor s8 or 2 x traktor d2 & dj mixer?

    hi
can't decide between traktor s8, or 2 x d2's with djm (pioneer djm 850 for example).
so i decided to create a topic here and listen to what you think about this!
i want to mix stems and have all the fx and remix deck possibilities i have with the s8. but in every club there,s an pioneer djm. so i just need the decks from the s8 right? (d2).
    the question is..

    1) is there anything i can,t do with 2x d2's + djm which i can do with the s8?

    2) is this setup with every djm possible? i mean i don't need to map something on the djm do i? i can just plug an play. (i know i need an interface)

i want to sync traktor with ableton to have some loops and samples on my finger tips which i can trigger when i need them. but thats another story

    3) do you have any good tips for an interface?

would be great if you could help me i'm stuck at the moment..

    love and light - Tommy

Yes you can just use every mixer though one with the sound card built in would be the most convenient. A big plus of using two D2's is that you can bring them to a club and use them with their mixer. Bringing a large all-in one controller as an aspiring DJ is generally looked upon very negative. Though people like Zedd and more recently Carl Cox are using them club owners and organizers generally will dislike you bringing one (used an S4 for a while) plus the mixer brings some modularity enabling you to upgrade more easily in the future.

Thank you for answering! I will get d2's and an club mixer (the djm 750 would be great). I think thats the best combination for me.
I watched/read lots of tutorials about syncing ableton and traktor but i still can't get it. If i connect the d2's to two of the dj mixer channels i have still two channels left. is it possible to route ableton on one of that channels? would be awesome to play with some loops and samples in ableton and send it to the third channel of my dj mixer!
would be great if you/or someone else could help me!
