I did! And I'm having a great day, too. :D
i don't think this is the case (not that i have been here all that long either). it's just the same old questions getting asked again and again and again and the general attitude sometimes. new users should maybe spend a bit of time lurking and reading first before asking the same stuff over and over. i try to not get into the infighting and do try to help with any controller mapping stuff where i can.
i can't see *any* search option atm on the forum root page. i have to manually go to /search.php to run a search. if i go into a subforum like here http://forum.djtechtools.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 then i can search that forum or click adv search. didn't there used to be a handy "search all forums" quick search thingy on any page?
10 pages strong! You guys are a lot more dedicated to this than I am
Hmmm... there is a partial truth in here.
But, to get back to the OP, the attitude of new members can be a real PITA. Going off like they're the grand god of DJ-ing or the top dog of the intarwebz, while not even having posted any constructive posts on the forum as of yet.
Yes, the older members should refrain from the though:"OMG not another one of those questions", if you don't feel like answering, just don't answer. (Seems harsh, but it will stop you from reposting a "You suck 'cause you should have used the search" type of post.
And getting back on a wiki... Do you really think creating a wiki would stop people from stopping posts? ;)
nope because people don't search to begin with.
maybe... but we can hope :p it would at least be easier to go to and browse for info (if done properly, i've written a few wiki scripts myself before) and def a lot nicer than the stickies we have atm. no reason ofc why the wiki couldn't link back to forum threads where appropriate.
i learn something new everyday from ya'll. i wouldn't be here otherwise :)
