You do realise england is cold wet and shit right? Its great when you're partying but the rest of the time you're mainly trying to keep dry. Why dont you do Oz or SE Asia? You got like the best shit on your door step anyway over there in the States. Miami and florida are down the road and you can snowboard if you go north. I'd kill for that shit. You got a whole continent to play with without having to cross any seas. You can just drive and not have to buy tickets or have a passport or need to know any other languages. England's a bit restricted like that, its the same weather all over. There's no escaping the rain and cold. The states you got the choice of hot or cold or somewhere in between.
You sure you wanna do england? If you do I'd recommend like July-September time. Not sure what I'll be doing that far ahead.
Yeah Im sure about england. Everyone is all dazzled by the states, but the music scene is stuck in commercial hell! Have you attempted to drive cross country? Driving to florida from nyc is a long journey 24+ hours. And driving to florida would do nothing for my love of the harder sounds. Miami is minimal, electro house, hip-hop heaven. I just want to get out of the country and expose myself to other cultures. I figure while im in england I can hit up spain (wonderful thing about speaking spanish) and italy to check out the scenes their. I also have some connects in holland and I know for a fact the hand dance scene is bonkers over there. Playing all over their would do wonders for me when I finally come back to the states.

MoS is amazing. but again, you need to look into a visa. especially if you plan on working.
check visas4uk.co.uk i think the link is. that will get you straight.
canada is another option that Id love to explore, honestly just getting out of the states is all I care about. I heard and have seen pics of parties up in canada pretty wild shit you guys got going on. How do I go about getting some bookings out there? No idea who to talk to.

if you think canada, do either toronto or vancouver/victoria. i have friends in BC and the scene there is really nice. especially for tech house and toronto is big on electro house (last time i checked)
If it's purely music you are after then I can say with confidence the UK is the best place, and I don't care what anybody says! It's probably the only thing that makes me proud to be british, and the history I guess. It makes me laugh when people say a particular place has got it going on then they break it down with sub genres of house. The UK literally has it all; house (yes all the sub genres that I'm so sick of hearing about, just say house for crying out loud), DnB, breaks, dubstep, hiphop, dancehall, R&B, commercial, old skool/jungle, garage/grime, happy hardcore, trance, rock, punk, indie, blues, jazz. If there's something you want music wise you're pretty guaranteed to be able to find it every weekend... and pretty much all within London, then you got the rest of the country to play with, shit go listen to Donk up north where ever that video on it was based (different thread) if you want.
Like I said though, June-september time is where it's at. DON'T COME IN WINTER!! I put that in capitals cos I had some ozzie mates come over and I said time and time again do not come in winter, so what do they do? They come in winter. Stayed about 2 weeks then fucked off.
So are you gonna work or what? Or you gonna have funds to just be able to party the whole time?
i'm a beginner dj, so I don't have any connections, but a couple of guys that I know who started djing just a couple of years ago, got gigs at clubs pretty quickly, because there are quite a few all ages events in Toronto, because all the kids in the suburbs, especially the italian neighbourhoods, really enjoy the club scene, so I'd say it would be pretty easy to get hooked up with something like that. I mean you get to use the club's equipment, and half the people at the event are older too, not just 14yr olds haha. The city also has a really great lounge scene, and pub scene if you're into the smaller clubs or what not, but at the smaller stuff you're most likely gonna be playing house, no electro, or trance, or techno. Correct me if i'm wrong, but here in Toronto, when an event is put on in a club, there are various rooms within the club that play all different styles of music, i'm not sure if that is how it's done in the U.K. or NYC, but that allows a dj alot of options on what style they want to play. Also, our accents are pretty similar, so it would deffinitely be easy to get around over here.lol
I've been to Vancouver and must say their club scene is definitely more relaxed, must be the mountains and the ocean?!? lol
but, if you really want a good time, go to Montreal, you will not be dissapointed, everyone speaks both french and english, and french girls are some of the nicest around, c'mon man that accent is just sexy.
