Mudo adivce: Tooltablism = Any tool is a instrument, turntable one of the most beautyful of them.

Continue working Ean, your routine is great and your efforts truly inspirational for all of us.

man all this button pusher talk really rubs me the wrong way with serato users.

Everytime they touch their keyboard to loop/cue 1 2 3 4/trigger fxs...doesnt that make them a button masher too?

Serato dj's spend more time on there keyboards than touching the tt or cdj. And i have not problem telling them that.

I'm in the same boat as the guy you asked (17, no turntables), but I would buy some vinyl. Of course the reason being is just to convert it to digital, since some of the older stuff (2004.... how the heck) only got released on vinyl. For actual mixing, I'd much rather use CDJs or a controller, even if I had the cash for a vinyl setup.

You guys are right when you say its the end result that is what counts. If I was out in club I wouldn't care if the dj was mixing with twin pudding bowls if they were rocking the place

I used to Dj with vinyl a few years ago (mainly prog house). The stuff i've seen on this site has actually inspired me to go out and get a VCI100 and Traktor. I'm even hoping to get a button type controller in the future to add to my set up.

Vinyl is dead as far as i'm concerned, you guys are showing us the future

I still love vinyl myself and don't think it will ever fully "die" ... at least, it won't go the way of the 8 track or whatever, it will never come back but it will always have a niche, even if just for the turntablists.

But as far as the serato thread goes, Ean will probably have the last laugh when every one of those fools buys a dicer.

    Exactly

Btw did anyone post this thread on the serato forum? I'd just like to see those douchbags up in here... we'd tear em a new one... all very politely and eloquently of course

Nope. Most of those guys dont know the world exists outside of that forum.

And, of course the real reason is that they hide behind the forum. You cannot go through life being such a douche everywhere. That forum is the only one that allows them to interact in that way.
